digital delay – classic tube – voodoo labs tremolo – oc2 octaver – gordon smith wah + my korg tuner
now this sounds amazing through the george dennis
delay – classic tube – and the wah = hendrix noises
going to be using this with blackheart afterglow with my amazing guitar parts!! oooooh yer – im loving it

Great rehearsal 2night with blackheart afterglow – quality material – great working with like minded musicians – feel at home playing original weller / ocean color scene / who rock type material plus i get to play guitar and the fretless … well its just amazing !!! this is just one of my projects …. the other project is a little suprise for all my little muso mates out there….. im sure you know whats coming !!!! watch this space its going to be exclusive – real exclusive ……. ….. …….

anyhow wrote a cool song 2day fuk me my writing skills are coming on leaps and bounds dont know why i never done this before!?! ha
just watched some cool hendrix video to fuel my mind while I sleep – I really dont know why i just didnt play guitar from the beggining I love giving my strat what she likes !

just finished the song tossed salad and 2morro im writing here comes the rain in respect of john lennon – the reverse of here comes the sun i have so much on my mind to off load so i can put it in a song real easy – my mind is a mine feild at the moment its pouring from me !…

another night out watching bands ! you cant beat it!
picked up my good mate doug and hit the park were we just had all the musos rounded up!
me bernie kelly , any creevy , rob dorrington and his missus, geoff moore, douggie mcKinnell and sue fisher!
watched the citizens band in the park – screamin lord sutch tribute got up to sing to be honest i prefered derek
so the whole lot of us buggered of to the ma murpheys and watched revolver
good set just a poor sounding room?….
best night ive had for ages with the hecklers !!!!
bring on the next night…….

jam night kendal

decided to take a run through to preston dickie doodles for a jam on tuesday after hearing so many good reports – so rounded up some of my muso mates to go and sample the night..
dan lovet-horn – douggie mccannal and dan doherty all blasted through in dans car – cost us 2 quid for parking which is a rip as they have 24hour service wardens checking so they can clamp you! wankers! went for a pint in the ? forgot the name… for a pint first and then walked up to dickie doodles about 9ish – seemed to be a lot of young smelly looking hair braided people about even some guy sporing a old punk moheacan?! anyway quiet a few about and the music chirped up so we went in. It wasnt what i call a jam it was more like a unpaid rehearsal for some shite ska band – the PA was awful and distorting and the vocals were bloody awful – the two trombone players were out of tune not helping the sax player – the bass wasnt to bad and the guitarist chopped away which wasnt to bad until he kicked his cheap wah wah in which sounded shite. Then they kicked into another song which sounded like the previous song so we said fuk this lets get out of here! dan dropped us of at the park hotel morecambe were we carried on with the bevarages! dan got up on the karaoke for the crack and i was going to have a shot but i was to pissed! hung around till it quitened down and havd a great chat with gary pugh and the lads about bands and music in general… great conversation something i like with ecent people and like minded time served musicians. Any way we was talking about rigs and gary came back in the room and gave me a ah250 trace elliot head that needed restoration! i couldnt believe it i cant thank him enough!!!! but overall had a spectacular night. Good freinds and people are hard to find so all the best to you guys. Back to some more rehearsal for me shredding away learning new songs for the audition….. proper hard stuff well to technical for any previous bands i played with which isnt saying a lot!…
so if your looking for a jam night dont go to dickie doodles its shite.

well popped out saturday to watch my mates band in ma’ murpheys ony when i got to the gig it wasnt them as they was at the battery! ha the band were’nt bad doing new stuff killers and muse just lacked harmonies and the guitar wasnt loud enough…. stayed for a pint and went and met sme of the lads but one of em was pissed and was starting fights so i jumped a taxi home so that was a total waste of time!! so decided to do sunday instead! went to see the citizens band at the park hotel and they sounded bloody well good time served musicians ! then popped down to ma murpheys again to watch the bottle necks but 24/7 were on and the bottle necks had been on during the day and there had also been bands on at the three mariners lancaster! the problem is we need one person to advertise the events for everything around here instead of all the indaviduals who are having a damn good go but just not cutting it as covering every thing is a damn hard job… although i think ron johnson does a damn good job on lunve valley site!! and im waiting for enigma entertainments to launch as they say they are going to cover all the events……
just doing a review of tyre suppliers in the area after trying to buy two new tyres for the range and not getting much luck so i will blog this next…. cant get the staff!?…
well ive put all seeking musicians on hold for a week or so as ive got a audition with a touring band playing big venues – ill be playing guitar for a change and some lead and backing vocals! about time i got a break ill keep you posted but at least it means i wont have to play round here! although i do like a jam on a sunday with my bezzzzi m8 dan and the boys!!
so looking forward to my partner coming from the states and going to see denny laine at the cavern i cant sleep at night! ha – apart from that work is good – my playin is good – life is real good.

dont forget i love you all even the people have nowt better to do than cause trouble on facebook! i stilll love you – we are put on this planet once i dont hold grudges ha!….

oh while i remember a few people been coming up to me saying i had left natural thing to go to the dark side! thats not true if you want to know thw truth just ask me – i was playing in a band called promethium which i did some studio session work with which i enjoyed and i must say the band didnt either jealousy or just pure stupidness ive no idea ask em?.. but anyway i was playing with them still when i left NT – im not now they have a bass player – i never intended to stay with them im still mates with them and if they require me to do any studio sessions again or live gigs i will – so people should either stop talking shit and get there facts right – oh and i do know who started the little bit of bullshit! sad! i never thought he was lie that aswell
any way good name for a band though “the dark side” you might just need to tweak your intelligence a bit and channel it into improving your work maybe?!! ha ha sad
like i say i just laughed this off – anyhow enough ranting back to some shredding
im getting to A1 qualities on the guitar – dedication
